When it’s time to come out of the water, the hardstand is found across the road and behind the bunding. This where you will find the team at TC Marine. The friendly Marina team haul vessels out on at the designated ramp by tractor and specialised hydraulic slipway trailer. From here, your vessel is transported on the trailer across the road to be washed down and stood on the hard. Each vessel has access to power and water where they are stored. A lot of catamarans choose to come here for this method of hauling out, and the Marina team’s expertise. Then we get to the creative work and get your vessel back into shape.
Yes, we can. We use premium sealants from Bostik and FixTech. We only use the best quality products, and we sell them, too (see the range). The quality marine adhesive products we use are ideal for glass bonding (windscreens and port holes) as well as construction and decorative applications such as teak and artificial deck bonding, below-deck interior bonding, and deck-to-spider-hull bonding. If you have specific questions, feel free to get in touch.

Ruakaka, One Tree Point and Marsden are fantastic holiday destinations. Close to stunning beaches and there’s lots to see and do. There are two motels, one at One Tree Point and another in Ruakaka. You can look on Book-a-bach, Airbnb, booking.com and our personal recommendation is for you to stay with our friends at Karaka Cottage.
Turners Cars is a good place to start, as you can purchase and sell a car there and there is a large variety to choose from. The marina runs a shuttle up to Whangarei. Alternatively, Marsden Marine and the Engineering Shop has a car rental service. There’s also TradeMe, an online marketplace, but you’ll need to find a way to view each car.
This website will give you some helpful information about using your international driving licence in New Zealand. And there is further information about driving on New Zealand roads on the NZ Transport website.
75ft mono hull, approx. 80tonne.
Work completed in shed space.
Came in to remove teak decks as there was moisture seeping up from beneath them.
The team manually crow barred the teak off the side decks and foredeck and planed from the cockpit.
Some areas on the side decks had delamination and rot. The rot was dug out and surfaces were prepped back to good substrate. PVC foam was inserted and glued in.
The surfaces were very uneven, so we filled then glassed to bring up to an even level so the water wouldn’t pool.
Coves were run then glassed going up onto the bulwark, filled and faired and uundercoated
The boat is also in for a complete repaint. To reach the extensive height, a scaffolding company has erected a multi layer structure.
